Under the Compass's Hood

Jeep offers an amazing powertrain with their Compass, starting with the standard 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine. This engine will produce 180 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque, and it is offered with a range of drive systems and transmissions. The 6-speed manual transmission will come equipped on the Sport models, and it is available with the four-wheel drive Latitude trims. The front-wheel drive systems can alternatively be equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The four-wheel drive models will have a 9-speed automatic transmission. All Compass models that are equipped with automatic transmissions will have a start/stop system. When the Compass is properly equipped it has a maximum towing rating of 2,000 pounds.

Design of Jeep Compass

The Compass is available in four trim levels, called the Sport, Latitude, Limited, and Trailhawk. Each trim will add a wonderful range of sport-oriented and luxurious features. The base Sport trim is particularly impressive, as it comes standard with a 5-inch Uconnect system. This system delivers access to apps, media, and more, and it will feature Bluetooth connectivity and a six-speaker sound system. The Latitude trim adds simulated leather seat upholstery, as well as a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The Limited trim adds exterior highlights like 18-inch wheels, leather upholstery, heated front seats, and automatic dual-zone climate control. The Limited trim will also feature the 8.5-inch Uconnect touchscreen, which is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The amazing Trailhawk trim will feature a bevy of off-road-oriented equipment, including 17-inch wheels, off-road tires, red tow hooks for both the front and rear, a unique front fascia, and a raised suspension. It will feature a unique Selec-Terrain system that will support the vehicle when taking on rocky surfaces. Additionally, the Trailhawk has underbody protection shields which will protect the gas tank, engine, and oil pan.
