What's new for the 2018 Dodge Challenger?

The 2018 Dodge Challenger is ready to hit the track with a variety of new trims, features, and equipment. The biggest news for 2018 is the unleashing of the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon and the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody. The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is an 840-horsepower machine with unmatched power and unbelievable performance times; elapsing a quarter-mile in only 9.65 seconds-the best time ever for a production vehicle-and accelerating from 0 to 60 in a mere 2.3 seconds. It also harnesses 770 pound-feet of torque and has managed to eliminate over 200 pounds of equipment. The new 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody features some of the unique styling from the SRT Demon, including the devious fender flares that add 3.5 inches of width to the Challenger. Also new for 2018 is the opportunity for R/T and R/T 392 models to feature red Brembo brake calipers. The standard Uconnect within the Challenger has also been upgraded to a 7-inch touchscreen complete with a rearview camera instead of the previous 5-inch. The Super Track Pak now includes Nappa/Alcantara performance seats. Two new paint colors are introduced for 2018: F8 Green and IndiGO Blue; two other colors from the past return: B5 Blue and Plum Crazy.

What trim levels are available for the 2018 Dodge Challenger?

The Dodge Challenger's lineup is more comprehensive than ever for 2018. There is a total of 16 trim levels available for buyers. The lineup begins with the SXT and SXT Plus, base models that feature the basics and a V6 engine. The GT shares this engine, but is the only trim to offer all-wheel drive. There is then R/T, R/T Shaker, R/T Plus, R/T Plus Shaker, and R/T Scat Pack models. New for the 2017 model year were the T/A, T/A Plus, and T/A 392, all of which return for 2018. 392 HEMI Scat Pack Shaker and SRT 392 models are also included in the 2018 lineup. The SRT Hellcat is also present for 2018, but is no longer the trim at the top of the lineup. 2018 brings all-new SRT Hellcat Widebody and SRT Demon trim levels, both of which offer unmatched performance and bold styling features such as fender flares.

What engine options are available for the 2018 Dodge Challenger?

The Dodge Challenger of 2018 features five engine options. The engine options begin with the only available V6: a 3.6-liter Pentastar. It charges the Challenger with 305 hp and 268 lb-ft of torque. This V6 is the only engine in the lineup offered with rear- or all-wheel drive. Next up is a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 that creates 372-375 hp and 400-410 lb-ft of torque. There's a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 that pumps out 485 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque.
